Media literacy training completed.
The “Media Literacy and Combating Disinformation” training, organized in collaboration between our faculty and the EU Delegation to Turkey, was held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at the Prof. Dr. Abdullah Demirtaş Conference Hall.
The opening ceremony was attended by Konstantina Kostova, Political Advisor to the EU Delegation to Turkey; Dr. Lale Şıvgın Dündar, Communications Specialist at the EU Delegation to Turkey; Prof. Dr. Özcan Yağcı, Vice Rector of our University; Prof. Dr. G. Senem Gençtürk Hızal, Dean of our Faculty, and İrem Aşçılı, Coordinator of International Relations and Exchange Programs at our University, also attended the opening.
Following the program, which was conducted by Prof. Dr. E. Nezih Orhon from the Faculty of Communication Sciences at Anadolu University, participants received their certificates from Prof. Dr. Günseli Bayraktutan, Head of the Department of Communication and Design, Prof. Dr. Şebnem Pala Güzel, Head of the Radio, Television, and Cinema Department; Dr. Selver Dikkol Akçay, Assistant Head of the Department; Dr. Lale Şıvgın Dündar, Communication Specialist at the EU Delegation to Turkey; and Research Assistant Eylem Temizer from the Public Relations and Promotion Department.
We would like to thank the EU Delegation to Turkey, all the faculty members who contributed, and the participating students for this collaboration, which aims to increase awareness and competence in the field of media literacy and combating disinformation.
