The panel was convened on Wednesday, 22 October 2025, at the Prof. Abdullah Demirtaş Conference Hall, Bağlıca Campus, with the participation of academics from the University of Pristina. In the opening address, our Faculty Dean, Prof. G. Senem Gençtürk Hızal, expressed her satisfaction at “engaging with topics that have been under consideration for some time through new perspectives and within diverse contexts”.

Chaired by our faculty member, Assoc. Prof. Lutz Peschke, the panel featured discussions by Assist. Prof. Muhamet Jahiri on media literacy in the age of AI; Assist. Prof. Gëzim Qerimi on the role of AI in reinforcing hate speech and social polarization; Assist. Prof. Alban Zeneli on the intersection of AI regulation and the media; and Lecturer, Ph.D. Drën Gerguri on the integration of AI into newsrooms.
