Alumni Workshops 2023
Within the scope of the Alumni Workshops, meetings were held on April 5, 2023, for the Public Relations and Promotion and Communication and Design Departments, and on May 4, 2023, for the Radio, Television, and Cinema Department, bringing together their alumni. At these meetings, graduates discussed the contributions their departments made to their education and expressed their expectations and suggestions for their departments.
Communication and Design Department alumni workshop:
The Capital University Faculty of Communication, Department of Communication and Design Alumni Stakeholder Workshop was held online via ZOOM on April 5, 2023, at 3:00 PM, moderated by Prof. Dr. G. Senem GENÇTÜRK HIZAL, Head of the Department of Communication and Design, with the participation of department faculty members.
The workshop was attended by Ekin Saatçi, a graduate of the Spring 2018-2019 semester, Berk Emre Uzun, a Fall 2020-2021 graduate, Alara Naz Tanış, a Spring 2020-2021 graduate, Aslı Aslantaş, a Spring 2021-2022 graduate, Umut Yasin Tarman, and a Spring 2021-2022 graduate, Deniz Yıldırım.
During the workshop, graduates shared their views and experiences regarding the newly added mandatory internship course to the curriculum and the department's program outcomes and industry connections.
Public Relations and Promotion Department graduate workshop:
The Capital University Faculty of Communication, Public Relations and Advertising Department Alumni Stakeholder Workshop was held online via ZOOM on April 5, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., with the participation of department faculty members.
The workshop was attended by our alumni, Elif Duygu Koca (Corporate Communications Manager at SECURITAS Turkey) Duygu Dilek (TV Program Host and Social Media Content Creator at Ege TV) Dilara Divrik (Active Communications Manager at LÖSEV) Begüm Artuç (Digital Media Specialist at APP Digital Agency) and Övüncan Hazer (Sales Specialist at G-MİND).

Radio, Television, and Cinema Department Alumni Workshop:
The Başkent University Faculty of Communication Radio, Television, and Cinema Alumni Workshop was held via Zoom on May 4, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. Dr. Deniz Tansel İliç, Assistant Department Chair of Radio, Television, and Cinema, opened the meeting with her opening remarks. She provided general information to the participants about the updates made to the curriculum. Our graduate students participated in the workshop;
Simge Cansu Akkaya, 2021-2022 Summer School Graduate, Taylan İnan Gülkanat, 2021-2022 Spring Semester Graduate, Berk Söğütlü, 2021-2022 Spring Semester Graduate, and Şebnem Şahin, 2021-2022 Spring Semester Graduate, participated. The graduates provided feedback on new course suggestions that would benefit them in their professional lives and how they benefited from the wide range of electives available in the curriculum.
