External Stakeholder Workshops 2023

Within the scope of the workshops, the departments within the Faculty of Communication had the opportunity to gather with their stakeholders and seek their opinions and suggestions on many issues, such as course content and the industry's expectations of students.

Communication and Design Department external stakeholder workshop:

The External Stakeholder Workshop of the Department of Communication and Design at Başkent University Faculty of Communication was held online via ZOOM on April 12, 2023, at 3:00 p.m., moderated by Prof. Dr. G. Senem GENÇTÜRK HIZAL, Head of the Department of Communication and Design.

The workshop was attended by DORUK KOFOĞLU, President of the Digital Media Economy Association; ALİCAN SENCER, Vice President of the Digital Media Economy Association; Multidisciplinary Artist and Designer CEM SONEL, AHBV University Faculty of Fine Arts Department of Visual Communication Design Faculty Member ASSOC. PROF. DR. PELİN ÖZTÜRK GÖÇMEN, and Ankara Advertisers Association Secretary General, Şapka ve Fil Advertising Agency Executive Creative Director YALÇIN BEYDİLLİ.

During the online meeting, which was attended by external stakeholders, the department curriculum, industry expectations, internships, and education and training processes were evaluated.

Public Relations and Advertising Department External Stakeholder Workshop:

The Public Relations and Advertising Department External Stakeholder Workshop of the Faculty of Communication at Başkent University was held online via ZOOM at 11:00 a.m. on April 3, 2023, with the participation of department faculty members.

The workshop was attended by Serap Şahin Durak (Founder of Pozitif PR Agency - Member of the Board of Directors of TÜHİD), Sevda Solak (Founder and Agency President of TimePR - Member of the Board of Directors of TÜHİD), and Serhat Özkütükcü (President of Denove Public Relations and Communication Consultancy Agency - Member of the Board of Directors of TÜHİD).

During the online meeting, which was attended by external stakeholders, assessments were made regarding the department curriculum, sectoral expectations, and internship opportunities to be provided through stakeholder collaborations.

 

Radio, Television, and Cinema External Stakeholder Workshop:

The Radio, Television, and Cinema External Stakeholder Workshop of the Faculty of Communication at Başkent University was held via Zoom on May 4, 2023, at 1:30 PM. The workshop was moderated by faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nihan Gider Işıkman, who opened the meeting with an introductory speech and introduced the participating external stakeholders. Our external stakeholders participating in the workshop included Güner AKDEMİR and Aşkın Fatma BOZDOĞAN, founders of Helloworld Digital Agency; screenwriter Makbule KOSİF; political communication expert Dr. İbrahim USLU; and Nurten ERTEM, researcher at TRT's Education Research Department. Our external stakeholders provided feedback on the basic knowledge, skills, and qualifications that graduates of the Radio, Television, and Cinema Department should possess, the strengths and areas for improvement in our program, and finally, activities that could be carried out to enhance our collaboration.
