11th Traditional Faculty of Communication Social Responsibility Project
For ten years, a charity campaign has been organised for a school in need as part of the ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’ course offered by the Faculty of Communication at Başkent University. Previously, donations were made to Agri-Patnos Alparslan Anatolian High School, Polatlı-Beylikköprü Village Primary School, Beypazarı Çayırlıoğlu Primary School, Kütahya/Altıntaş Yalnızsaray Primary School, Keçiören Halide Ömer Uncuoğlu Primary School, Mamak Ali Şir Nevai Secondary School, Yakacık İsmet Kurtuluş Primary School, Osmansin, Çamlıdere, Ankara Primary School, and Gölbaşı Baldudak Secondary School. During the spring semester of the 2023-2024 academic year, the course lecturer, Associate Professor Senem Güngör, and the students organised a charity campaign for Bala, Alparslan Primary School.
The proceeds from the fair organised by the students on 15-16 May 2024 were used to purchase science laboratory equipment for the school, which was delivered to the school by students from the Faculty of Communication at Başkent University on 7 June 2024 as part of the course. The aim of the project is to increase the interest of students at Bala Alparslan Primary School in science and technology and to contribute to their becoming future scientists.This project is significant both in terms of providing university students with the opportunity to apply what they have learned in their studies and in terms of bringing together young pupils attending primary schools in need with their older sisters and brothers.


10th Annual Faculty of Communication Social Responsibility Project
For the past 10 years, the Faculty of Communication has been organising aid campaigns for schools in need as part of the HIT-430 ‘Social Responsibility Campaigns’ course. Students from the Faculty of Communication at Başkent University have achieved great success with their aid campaigns, which have previously focused on schools in the Ankara area. This year, on 11 May 2022, students organised a charity bazaar at Başkent University's Bağlıca Campus to fund the construction of a science laboratory at Gölbaşı Baldudak Middle School.
Through their social responsibility campaign, our students have met the science laboratory needs of Gölbaşı Baldudak Middle School.

For eight years, a charity campaign has been organised for schools in need as part of the HIT 430 Social Responsibility Campaigns and Public Relations course offered by the Faculty of Communication at Başkent University. Previously, the Agri-Patnos Alparslan Anatolian High School, Polatlı-Beylikköprü Village Primary School, Beypazarı Çayırlıoğlu Primary School, Kütahya/Altıntaş Yalnızsaray Primary School, Keçiören Halide Ömer Uncuoğlu Primary School, Mamak Ali Şir Nevai Secondary School, and Yakacık, Ankara İsmet Kurtuluş Primary School.
In the spring semester of 2018-2019, the course lecturer, Dr Senem Güngör, and the students organised a charity campaign for Osmansin, Çamlıdere, Ankara Primary School. The proceeds from the fair organised by the students on 2-3 May 2019 were used to purchase the school's library, stationery and sports equipment on 8 May 2019. As part of the course, on 15 May 2019, students from the Faculty of Communication at Başkent University (24 students) delivered the purchased materials (30 boxes) to the school. In addition, 5 boxes of materials were sent to the Şanlıurfa, Harran, Koyunluca Village Primary School with the proceeds from the bazaar.

During the Spring semester of the 2017-2018 academic year, the course lecturer Dr Senem Güngör and the students organised a charity campaign for Yakacık İsmet Kurtuluş Primary School. The proceeds from the fair organised by the students on 14-15 May 2018 were used to purchase kindergarten and library supplies for the school, which were delivered to the school on 4 June 2018 by students from the Faculty of Communication at Başkent University as part of the course. This project is significant both in terms of giving university students the opportunity to apply what they have learned in their classes and in bringing together the little students attending needy primary schools with their older sisters and brothers.
