A Basic Occupational Health and Safety Training course for Communication Faculty students was held online on 24-25 April 2021.

In collaboration with Başkent University Education and Consulting Services (BEDAM), Dr. Cihandar Hasanhanoğlu prepared a two-day intensive certification programme on Occupational Health and Safety. The aim of the Basic OHS training was to raise awareness among Communication Faculty students about various risks they may encounter during internships or in their professional lives, ensure their safety, and provide them with knowledge about labour legislation. 

On the first day of the Basic Occupational Health and Safety Training Certificate Programme, information was provided on general topics such as labour legislation, the legal rights and responsibilities of employees, workplace cleanliness and order, legal consequences of workplace accidents and occupational diseases, and health issues. On the second day of the training, under the heading of ‘Technical Topics,’ basic information was provided on risk factors, preventive measures, and safety culture.
