Başkent University is a well-established educational institution that continues to strengthen its strong ties with its alumni year after year. With this understanding, the Traditional Alumni Medal Ceremony, organized by the Başkent University Alumni and Members Association (BAŞMED) for the tenth time this year, has become an important tradition that strengthens the sense of belonging between our alumni and our university.

Such gatherings not only refresh our nostalgia for the past, but also enable our alumni to maintain their ties with our university as bearers of our institutional identity. As in previous years, this year's Traditional Medal Ceremony was both an emotional occasion and a chance to relive the pride and joy of being together as the Başkent University family.

The 10th Traditional Alumni Medal Ceremony, organized by the Başkent University Alumni and Members Association (BAŞMED), was held on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Amphitheater. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Haberal, Founder of Başkent University, Prof. Dr. Hakan Özkardeş, our Rector, our Vice Rectors, and Prof. Dr. Senem Gençtürk Hızal, our Dean, also joined the graduates at the event. At the ceremony, which was also attended by Communication Faculty alumni, Dr. Banu Erşanlı Taş, Head of the Communication and Design Department, and Lecturer E. Alper Turan from our faculty also received their 15th-year medals.
