Başkent University Faculty of Communication and State Conservatory students returned with awards from the Future Communicators Competition held with the understanding of public service broadcasting of the Turkish Radio-Television Corporation; to support the field of education, culture, art life and broadcasting, to share corporate knowledge and experience with young people, based on the principle of "Caring for the youth is to give importance to the future", and to contribute to the studies of university students, who will be the communicators of tomorrow, within the scope of their educational activities and to encourage them.

In the competition organized in four main categories: Radio Broadcasting, Television Broadcasting, Audio and Video Reporting and New Media Broadcasting; Can Sönmez and İlteriş Kağan Yıldırım, who participated in the competition in the category of Television Broadcasting Music Video, won the second prize with their work called “The Time Has Come”.

Can Sönmez, a student at Başkent University State Conservatory, who is the lyric writer and composer of the song "The Time Has Come",  that was awarded in the Music Video category, said the following after the award ceremony; "I studied at Başkent University, Department of Communication and Design. This chapter has contributed a lot to me, especially in the field of communication, both theoretically and intellectually. After completing my education at the Faculty of Communication, I started my academic music education in the Department of Popular Music Singing at the Başkent University State Conservatory. During this process, I decided to bring to life one of my compositions, 'Vakit Geldi', which has been on my tongue for a long time. In the composition, I tried to emphasize the fading values within us in this fast and grinding 21st century world.”

On the other hand, İlteriş Kağan Yıldırım, a student at Başkent University Faculty of Communication, who directed the clip of the work called “The Time Has Come” said; “This award has been a meaningful and special award for us. We are happy. Our dean, who did not spare us his support from the idea stage to the shooting stage of our work, Prof. Dr. Özcan Yagci and Assitant Prof. Dr. Şükrü Künçen, we would like to thank our teachers”.
