The opening speech of the panel on “Media, Art and women” held in Prof. Dr. Ihsan Doğramacı Conference Hall was given by Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Haberal did it. Prof. Dr. Ali Haberal said in his speech: “the development of women's rights is a democratization movement that will improve the lives of not only women, but also everyone living in this country and provide us with a higher standard of living. The way to realize the dream of a richer, freer, fairer Turkey is first and foremost to surrender the rights of women,”he said. The guests of the media, art and Women panel moderated by Özge Mumcu from the Faculty of communication were theatre artists Şebnem Gürsoy and Ipek çeken. Gürsoy and Çekir emphasized that women also exist in the art world and that work should be done more quickly and fairly in order to grant the necessary rights in this field by telling the participants in a sincere language with examples from their own life stories. After the interview, the artists answered the questions of the young people.
