Başkent University students showed great interest in Metin Tekin, a former football player nicknamed Yellow Storm and now a football commentator, who participated in the "Media and Sports" panel of the "Media Meetings" panel series of Başkent University Faculty of Communication on the 6th of April 2016. Metin Tekin, whom we interviewed after the panel, stated that he and his family preferred Başkent University Hospitals in health. The famous football player said that they trust Başkent University in every sense and that they appreciate the work carried out. Metin Tekin, who studied economics at the university, said that he would like to do his education on sports sciences, and on the training of athletes; “I was a lucky football player who was able to go to university. But nowadays this is very difficult. Today football has become the industry. A senior football player who is 13-14 years old has to choose whether to play football or education. Because today a top player goes to the national team at the age of 13-14. When you go to the youth national team, 100-120 days of your training day must pass in the camps. For this reason, if you pay attention, there is no university player after our generation, there are very few. And those are who study sports academy. Professional football players actually have an advantage to enter the College. They can get into sports academies. But other than that, it is not possible in today's football to demand to study in different branches.
