Başkent University Faculty of Communication brings together media professionals, experts, lecturers and students with panels organized under the title of "Media Meetings". The guest of the second panel held on the 3rd of November 2015 under the title of “Ethics in Press Photography” was; Depo Photos Editorial Director Abdurrahman Antakyalı, Turkish Photojournalists Association President Rıza Özel, Hürriyet Newspaper Ombdusmanı Faruk Bildirici. The panel was moderated by Prof. Dr. Ahmet Nedim Tolungüç. Participating in the panel, Başkent University Founder Prof. Dr. Mehmet Haberal emphasized that knowledge, beyond being a great power, should be accepted as a treasure and used in the right direction. Faruk Bildirici, one of the panelists, said that with the panel held at Başkent University, a first was achieved in the field of "Ethics in Press Photography”. The common emphasis of the panelists was on the power of photography. Participants drew attention to “No matter where in the world, whatever language is used; photography’s language is an important tool and power, therefore it should be linked to conscience”.
